What is recovery like after trabeculectomy?

Recovery requires frequent follow-up visits, particularly in the first few weeks. Eye drops are prescribed and activities are restricted. Vision may fluctuate initially. Most patients achieve stable pressure control within 4–6 weeks.

Will I still need eye drops after surgery?

Many patients achieve significantly reduced eye drop requirements after surgery. Some achieve complete independence from drops. However, ongoing monitoring is essential and drops may still be needed.
